ST. SIMONS ISLAND, GA (January 31, 2024) – Today, GAGE announced that they secured seed funding from Eagle Venture Fund as well as a group of angel investors. GAGE is a platform and mobile app designed to “Build a Better Workforce” with a new approach to employee engagement, recognition, and performance management.

The GAGE business platform helps measure and track team and individual performance, employee recognition, and improve workplace culture through positive and real-time feedback. GAGE is the only platform to leverage a personal Universal Employment Score that helps employers by providing critical tools to be great leaders and managers. Companies who use the mobile platform have experienced an increase in employee  motivation, engagement, and reduced turnover. The app also empowers employees in their career journey with a lifelong, universal, verified record of their employment accomplishments that they can take from job to job.

“We are pleased to invest in GAGE and excited to partner with GAGE’s founder, Justin Henshaw. Justin is the kind of founder we love to back: he’s a highly-experienced leader and serial entrepreneur that’s developed a uniquely-better value proposition with ‘Native Impact.’ GAGE has excellent market traction and is well positioned for success,” said Wade Myers, General Partner with Eagle Venture Fund. “Native Impact,” a term coined by Eagle, encapsulates the unique strategy of investing in companies whose core products or services inherently produce the intended impact, thereby eliminating the typical tension between profit and impact.

Justin Henshaw, GAGE founder and CEO, expressed excitement for the financing led by Eagle Venture Fund, “I am genuinely elated to welcome our lead investor onboard. Their strategic vision aligns seamlessly with our mission. This partnership is a testament to the exciting future that lies ahead for our company.”

GAGE has ambitious plans and objectives with its initial funding, including additional platform feature development for both the employees and businesses, as well as growing their sales force and integrations.

GAGE has already signed up an impressive number of business clients, the most recent of which include Marshland Credit Union and the College of Coastal Georgia. Henshaw explains that the new customers “are significant as they are the organizations paving the way for innovation in both the banking industry and higher education.”

“Partnering with GAGE for recognition and performance management is a testament to our commitment to empowering every member of our team, " said Mary Jenrette Marshland Credit Union CEO and President. “GAGE will help us cultivate a culture where excellence is recognized, appreciated, and woven into the very fabric of our success.”

The College of Coastal Georgia is dedicated to ensuring the success of its students."Our focus is preparing our students to thrive after they complete their studies at the College,” said College of Coastal Georgia President Dr. Michelle Johnston. “We see using GAGE on campus with hundreds of student employees as an incredible way to develop their full potential.”

Banking and higher education are but a few of the business segments where GAGE has helped increase employee engagement and retention including restaurant, healthcare, senior living, finance, nonprofit, accounting, entertainment, and legal.
